Sales Assistant awarded €6,916 by the WRC after not being informed of a permanent vacancy
A recent WRC decision (ADJ- 00057036) serves as an important reminder for small businesses about their legal obligations in relation to fixed‑term employees. The employer in this case was cleared of pregnancy discrimination, however, was ordered to pay €6,916 to a fixed-term employee for failing to announce a permanent role that became available.
