Consultation on the European Innovation Act
This is just a reminder that the European Commission has launched a call for evidence and public consultation, inviting all interested stakeholders to contribute to the future European Innovation Act. As a key deliverable of the EU Startup and Scaleup Strategy, the European Innovation Act is designed to create an innovation-friendly environment across the EU. This is a critical opportunity for interested parties to shape the EU’s innovation agenda, addressing challenges in commercialising research, strengthening industry-academia collaboration and improving access to markets, finance, talent and infrastructures.
Now there is an opportunity to share your views on possible measures and how the initiative can help facilitate the establishment and growth of innovative companies in the EU and enhance the diffusion of innovation across the EU Single Market.
The call for evidence and public consultation are available on the Commission’s ‘Have your Say’ portal. The consultation period will last from 08 July 2025 to 03 October 2025 (midnight, Brussels time). Respondents can submit their contributions in any official EU language.
If you would like to contribute to the SFA / Ibec’s submission, please send your comments to Jonathan McDade at jonathan.mcdade@sfa.ie by Monday, 1 September 2025.
