The Building Materials Federation (BMF) is a business association within IBEC and represents over thirty-five of the largest manufacturers of building materials in Ireland.
Construction is now the single biggest industry in Ireland accounting for 24% of GNP (over €28 billion) and employing 15% of the national labour force. Building materials production accounts for up to 40% of construction output.
BMF Companies produce the following product groups in Ireland - Adhesives; Bricks; Cement; Chimney Systems; Cladding Products; Concrete Products; Insulation Products; Plasterboard; Plastic Pipes; Roofing Products.
