The modern workplace has diverse generations, disciplines and cultures working together so that shared understanding is vital but can also be a challenge.

This free webinar addresses how we can overcome stereotypes or lazy assumptions of other cultures – and our own – to ensure the smooth running of teams and projects using an evidenced-based approach.

Our one-hour 'lunch-and-learn' will explore topics including:

-          recognising cultural default settings
how values influence communication and motivation
adjusting everyday language to avoid bias and misunderstanding

Our differences can be a source of strength and stability but they can also surprise us. For example, studies consistently show that individual variation within any given group is always larger than between groups. The same forces that influence our propensity for teamwork or rely more on individual effort.

This webinar addresses how accurate our assumptions are both of our own and other cultures,  what drives polarisation within groups as well as our collective decision-making.

Learners will be introduced to a validated tool  for measuring cultural differences that is easily referenced, without underestimating the complexity of multiculturalism.
