NPHET recommendations a body blow for small business

Reacting to the recommendations coming from the NPHET, Small Firms Director Sven Spollen–Behrens said: “These recommendations are a body blow to an industry that has been disproportionately effected by restrictions for a number of months. In the run up to the busiest time of the year with stock already bought and paid for, to be told to effectively close is one that many in the hospitality sector will not be able to weather.”

Mr Spollen-Behrens concluded: “There has to be now a full scale review of Government supports to business and their staff if what amounts to an effective closing of the industry takes place.”
