Remote working during COVID-19 outbreak

The recent outbreak of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) is an unprecedented situation in Ireland, where nationally and internationally efforts are being taken to prevent the further spread of the virus. As a direct result of this situation, many companies are and will have to explore the possibility of temporary Remote Working for the first time and in a situation of urgency. Other employers will have experience of Remote Working on a restricted basis and may now need to deploy across the entire staff body.

DPC Guidance

The Data Protection Commission (DPC) has issued guidance entitled “Protecting personal data when working remotely”.
