Ibec announce winners of KeepWell Awards 2022
Ibec, the group that represents Irish business, has announced the winners of the annual Ibec KeepWell Awards at a special ceremony in the Mansion House, Dublin.
The awards, now in their fourth year, recognise and celebrate those companies that are prioritising the wellbeing of their workforces while showcasing those that have achieved exceptional success with their corporate wellbeing strategies.
Speaking at the Awards, Ibec Commercial Director, Paula Cain said: “What distinguishes these companies is how they are leading the way by taking a holistic approach to wellbeing right across their businesses and employee bases. They are adopting supports across all pillars of wellbeing and underpinning it with a strategy.
“Wellbeing is truly embedded in their organisational cultures, and they are putting in place the necessary resources to activate their strategies. It’s all of these traits that mean they are seeing the impact in their workplaces and indeed, this is why they have excelled in the KeepWell programme. We are delighted to be celebrating these companies this evening.”
The KeepWell Awards are a testament that employers are, year on year, continually embedding good practices in the workplace, from offering training and supports to employees, to actively fostering cultures that are leading to real conversations taking place among employees around mental health and well-being.
All finalists have been accredited with Ibec’s workplace wellbeing accreditation ‘The KeepWell Mark™’ and have been nominated based on their best practice and organisational commitment to prioritising employee wellbeing in their corporate culture.
These companies have developed and activated their wellbeing strategies using The KeepWell Mark™ framework and are excelling across the standards.
The winners of this year’s awards are:
• Company of the year (large) – BioMarin
• Company of the year (SME) - The Convention Centre Dublin
• Best in Class Leadership – DeCare
• Best in Class Mental Health – RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences
• Best in Class Physical Activity – Boston Scientific Galway
• Best in Class Nutrition – Exyte Northern Europe Limited
Speaking at the awards, KeepWell Programme Manager, Sophie Moran added: “On behalf of Ibec, we warmly congratulate all winners. These companies are setting the standard for corporate wellbeing and clearly recognise the important role that employers can play in promoting healthy mental and physical workplace practices.
“In the new world of work that is emerging, attraction and retention of talent has never been so important. Mental and physical wellbeing initiatives will increasingly become a major factor in individuals’ decision on where they work, and indeed a ‘must have’ for organisations that want to do right by their employees. An integrated employee value proposition that champions employee wellbeing will be critical for winning the war on talent.”
Ibec would like to thank event partners DeCare, Employee Financial Wellness, Mental Health First Aid Ireland and Financial Wellbeanz for their support.
