About this webinar

During the past twelve months, many businesses have faced significant business disruption due to the impact of Covid-19 and related restrictions.

For this webinar, we are delighted to be joined by ByrneWallace LLP and the Central Bank of Ireland.

In August 2020, the Regulator, the Central Bank of Ireland, published its “Business Interruption Insurance Supervisory Framework” which provides guidance and sets out its key expectations of insurance firms in handling Covid-19 related claims made by policyholders.

Grainne McEvoy, Director of Consumer Protection at the Central Bank of Ireland will provide an overview of this Framework, outlining the practical impact it has had on the processing of business interruption claims during the past twelve months. Gráinne will also discuss the CBI’s expectations of insurance firms going forward.

Speakers will also include ByrneWallace LLP Partners Jon Legorburu and Mark O’Shaughnessy, who will summarise the key takeaways from the recent Court decisions in both Ireland and the UK in relation to business interruption insurance.
