The Government recently launched a new Commission on Taxation and Welfare. This group has been tasked by government to independently consider how best the taxation and welfare systems can support economic activity and promote increased employment and prosperity in Ireland. It will make a series of recommendations to Government by Summer 2022.
The Commission has launched its public consultation Your Vision, Our Future, which will run until 7 January 2022. As part of this process Ibec will make a submission. The consultation can be accessed in English or Irish at https://cotw.citizenspace.com.
As part of our input into the consultation Ibec will be holding a briefing & feedback event for Ibec members.
