Managing Digital Solutions
The moulding industry faces a big challenge in respect to implementing digitalisation, but what exactly is it? To what degree can it interface with injection moulding machines and internal processes and how can it help? What are some key developments and importantly, what benefits can it bring you and your business?
Within the time available, the presentation seeks to outline some of ARBURG's visions in steps towards digitalisation and barriers to embracing it that have been overcome. Completing this will be some insights into innovations in a machine's infrastructure and control technology designed to be predictive and intelligent.
The Speakers:
Benjamin Franz Manager Digital Solutions at Arburg Benjamin has been working for ARBURG since 2000 and is the central point of contact for the subject of digitalisation in Sales. From July 2003 to August 2009 he worked in Sales Germany, after which he spent seven years working in Asia in various roles; Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, Sales Director and finally Branch Manager based in Shenzhen.
In February 2016, he returned to ARBURG Germany in a key account role and has been in his current position, Manager Digital Solutions since September 2018.
Today, he liaises with the various internal, external subsidiaries and customers alike to advance technological developments in line with market and customer requirements.
Jochen Hirt, Team Manager, International Technical Support at Arburg Jochen holds a Masters in Industrial Engineering in Plastic and Rubber Technology. He joined Arburg in 2001 as a training supervisor for service and application engineers. He has since held various roles including Applications Manager and Regional Applications Engineering Manager in the Asia region (being based in Arburg (Shanghai) for 12 years). He is currently Team Manager in International Technical Support in ARBURG headquarters in Lossburg/Germany.
