
Danny McCoy is Chief Executive Officer of Ibec since 2009. Ibec is Ireland’s largest business representative organisation and the country’s largest lobbying group. It has 240 staff in seven locations and has 38 sectoral brands and substantial presence within the European Union through Ibec’s Brussels office.
Prior to joining Ibec, Danny was a senior economist at both the Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) and the Central Bank of Ireland in Dublin. He has held lecturing posts at Dublin City University, University College London, University of Oxford and Trinity College Dublin. He has been a consultant for the European Commission and the OECD. He has been a member of the Irish National Competitiveness Council, the National Economic and Social Council, the Commission on Taxation and the National Training Agency. He led a European Macroeconomic Forecasting Network for the European Commission of eleven national research institutes.
He is currently President of the Statistical and Social Inquiry Society of Ireland, Honorary Fellow of the Academy of Engineers, Board member of MaREI and member of the Export Trade Council, Executive Bureau of BusinessEurope, SME Forum and Government’s Balance for Better Business Group.

Damien English TD was appointed Minister of State for Business, Employment and Retail on July 2nd, 2020. He previously served as Minister of State at the Department of Housing, Planning and Local Government with special responsibility for Housing and Urban Development, from 2017 to 2020. He also served as Minister of State for Housing and Urban Renewal in May 2016. He is a member of the Fine Gael Parliamentary Party representing the constituency of Meath West. Damien first stood for election in 1999 and was elected to Meath County Council for the Navan electoral area. In the 2002 general election, Damien was elected to the 29th Dáil as TD for the Meath constituency. At 24 years of age he was the youngest TD in the 29th Dáil.

Dr Kara McGann is Head of Social Policy at Ibec, Ireland’s largest business representative body. She supports employers with strategic advice on labour market, equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) and wellbeing policy and practice. She engages with national and European stakeholders to lobby on the broad area of social policy from gender pay gap reporting and human rights to labour market activation and represents business in various fora.
She is Chair of the Joint Equality Council at ESB; a Board Member of the Governing Authority of DCU, a member of the External Group of Experts of the European Consortium of Innovative Universities (ECIU) and a member of the Labour Market Advisory Council. Prior to joining Ibec in 2008, Kara held roles in industry as a Career Development Manager, Organisational Psychologist and lectured at undergraduate, postgraduate and executive level.

Ade Stack is the Managing Director and Superintendent Pharmacist at Stacks Pharmacy Group who own and operate 18 pharmacies and employ over 250 people across Ireland. As a responsible employer Stacks Pharmacy believe that the long-term future of the company is best served by respecting the interests of the wider community and creating local employment opportunities for the people who live in the area. They have had considerable success working with the long term unemployed through the YESS programme for those under 25 and looking at their first time employment. They have had a 90% success rate in converting placement to jobs through his scheme.
