About

As we start a new year and the EU institutions focus on their 2021 work programme, Ibec is pleased to host a virtual event entitled ‘Ireland and the EU: The Outlook for 2021’ on Thursday, 28 January, at 12:00-13:00 CET (11:00-12:00 GMT).

The urgent need to deal with the current wave of Covid-19, the rollout of vaccine strategies and the implementation of the EU-UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement have dominated the start of 2021. However, 2021 also represents a landmark year for the EU as it implements the historic agreement on the Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) 2021-27 and Next Generation EU recovery package. Key ambitions will be actualising the European Green Deal, enabling digital transformation, and advancing a new EU trade policy. We hope you will join us to engage with the EU priorities of Irish business for the new year.

The event will include a keynote address by Mairead McGuinness, European Commissioner for Financial Stability, Financial Services and the Capital Markets Union, followed by an exchange of views with Danny McCoy, Ibec CEO.

This webinar is exclusively for Ibec member companies and invited stakeholders.
