Overview
The experience of loss and grieving is universal. This means people in the workplace will experience grief and in very exceptional cases we might lose someone in our organisations. When this happens, we want to be in a position where we can support those who need us.
Covid-19 might have changed the way many experience grief and support those grieving. That discomfort many feel when they are unsure how to deal with people can be exacerbated as a simple hug is no longer an option.
Breffni McGuinness, National Bereavement Development Specialist, The Irish Hospice Foundation, will share practical advice on how you can support your employees who are experiencing the changing face of grief in the workplace. Breffni will draw on examples from organisations he has worked with throughout his career.
