
Catherine Lane is a recognised HR Leader with 20+ years' experience in the Pharmaceutical industry and has demonstrated her progressive HR skills in organisational design & change, talent development & management, coaching, performance management, reward & recognition strategy, employee relations and dispute resolution. She holds and Master of Business Studies in Human Resource Management from UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School as well as a Post Graduate Diploma in Employment Law from University College Dublin.
Catherine is noted for being a collaborative communicator with a talent for incorporating creative leadership skills to achieve business objectives; both as an individual contributor and as part of project & leadership teams. She considers herself to be a genuine influencer who thrives on tough challenges and is passionate about building strategies and initiatives focused on solving business and people challenges.
Catherine is an active member of the BPCI Apprenticeship Industry Consortium Steering group and believes Apprenticeship Programmes are a Win-Win between the Company and the Apprentice. This has led to Takeda having been nominated for the Generation Apprenticeship Employer of the Year Award.
Other notable achievements include CIPD HR Award Winner 2021 in the Flexible and Remote Working Category, receipt of the Top Employer Award in Ireland for the past 4 years and a member of the Professional Women’s Network.

Cian started his career in DePuy Synthes as an apprentice Fitter in 2008 before working his way through roles of increased responsibility in the CNC machining space.
In 2016 Cian restarted the DePuy Synthes Apprentice program which has since taken 18 apprentices including 5 females in a wide variety of emerging skills such as 3D printing automation & Robotics all through the manufacturing Engineering apprenticeship program.

Claire is currently a Quality Control Manager in Hovione Ltd in Cork, a Contract Development and Manufacturing Company dedicated to helping Pharmaceutical Customers bring new and off-patent drugs to market. Claire holds a BSc in Environmental Science from NUI, Galway and has 16 years’ experience working in analytical laboratories, having previously worked in Allergan Pharmaceuticals and Boston Scientific.

Kenny currently works as Operations Manager at Athlone Extrusions Ltd., part of the Swiss Schweiter Technologies Group. Kenny started his career in 1990 having completed a degree in Polymer Technology from Athlone IT, now a Technological University. Kenny has worked in Injection Moulding, Blown Film, Electronics and Sheet Extrusion over the past 31 years. He has extensive experience in Manufacturing and Strategic Management having worked for Japanese, American, British, Irish and Swiss companies including Motorola. Kenny completed a Masters Degree from Trinity College in 2009 in International Business. He is currently Chairman of First Polymer Training Skillnet and regularly contributes to education with lecturing at the Technological University of Shannon: Midlands and Midwest.

Una currently works as QC Chemistry Manager for Sanofi, a pharmaceutical company. Una has worked in the pharmaceutical and drinks industry for the past 13 years and in leadership roles for the past 7 years previously working with Eurofins and Britvic Ireland. Una holds a Bachelor of Science, Nutritional Science from University College Cork.

Tiernan currently works as head of operations for Nordson Medical site in Boyle, County Roscommon. Nordson Medical (formerly Vention Medical) is a global American Multinational company that design, develop, manufacture and assemble complex medical device components. Tiernan has responsibility for the operations and supply chain functions at the Boyle site. He has worked in senior operations management roles for the past 21 years, previously working with Coca Cola and Hungary Planet. Tiernan holds a BEng (Hons) in Polymer / Plastics Engineering MSc from London Metropolitan University.
