Overview
Major changes to VAT rules applying to e-commerce transactions, particularly online sales of goods, will take effect 1st July 2021 in order to facilitate cross-border trade, combat VAT fraud and ensure fair competition for EU businesses.
These changes will affect businesses involved in distance selling, electronic platforms or interfaces facilitating online sales or those responsible for logistics of deliveries of goods to consumers in the EU.
