About

In April 2020 the Data Protection Commission (DPC), published a new Guidance Note on cookies and other tracking technologies arising from the outcome of its report on the use of such technologies which was compiled following a sweep conducted at the end of 2019. The DPC is concerned to ensure that controllers are aware of the requirements set out in the applicable legislation and in the guidance note, and controllers now have two months to bring themselves into compliance.
