About

According to the EPA, up to 300 cases of lung cancer each year are linked to Radon gas. Earlier this year, new radiation protection legislation (S.I. No 30 of 2019) was introduced which requires all employers in high Radon areas to test their workplace for radon. Where it is found that levels exceed the national reference level, employers are then required to carry out work to reduce these levels.

What you will learn

This webinar will provide employers with a basic knowledge of radon, an overview of the legal requirements, guidance on how to determine whether your workplace in is a high Radon area, how to test for radon, what the test results mean, and if required, how to conduct remedial works to reduce the levels in their premises. The webinar will conclude with a live Q&A- questions can be submitted in advance.
