Overview

Budget 2020 has the potential to be the most strategically important Budget faced by the Irish State. Windfall corporation tax receipts and strong growth in household incomes have given us the opportunity to address a unique set of challenges facing the Irish business model from global tax reform, to Brexit, to a soaring population.  Ibec CEO Danny McCoy will provide an overview of the context for this year's budget and Fergal O’Brien, Director or Policy and Gerard Brady, Chief Economist will outline Ibec’s recommendations on how the Minister for Finance can use resources to deliver world class infrastructure and deal with inequality in our society.
