Personal financial management for business owners - FREE EVENT
|
The SFA Business Bytes series is back. These events, which are entirely free of charge, offer small businesses access to expert information and advice and an opportunity to network with their peers. The series is supported by Bord Gáis Energy. **The SFA Business Bytes 2016-2017 season will be launched on 12 October by John Halligan TD, Minister of State for Skills, Research and Innovation.** Business owners must take a strategic approach to wealth management if they are to minimise their personal financial risk and maximise their current and future income. Just one day after the announcement of Budget 2017, this seminar will examine the changes for business owners and explore three important areas: business protection; estate and inheritance tax planning; and retirement income. Business protection Small business owners insure their key equipment, buildings and vehicles. Many don’t consider insuring their most important asset for the survival of their business – their people. If you have partners, shareholders or specific key members of staff that are important to the survival of your business, this seminar will outline the solutions available to you to protect the ownership, control and profitability of your business.
Estate and inheritance tax planning It is never too early to start thinking about your personal and business succession planning, the issue of inheritance tax and what potential solutions are available. This seminar will look at effective inheritance planning, the inheritance tax rates, thresholds and reliefs. It will also discuss tax efficient succession planning for business assets – a key consideration for every business owner.
Retirement income Planning for your future retirement may seem a long way off when starting out in business, however you need to ensure that all your hard work contributes to funding the lifestyle you want when you retire. As your business grows and expands, find out what obligations do you have when it comes to pensions for you and your staff.
