Ibec has a team of experienced solicitors, operating in-house, who specialise in employment law, advising and representing member companies in complex employment and equality issues. In addition to producing member guidelines and delivering briefing sessions, we are there to support IR/HR and knowledge centre colleagues. We provide input when a query requires specialist advice on an employment law or equality issue, or if a member has a question on a piece of legislation.
Representation before a third party (Adjudication Officer, Labour Court) will generally be by your dedicated advisor. However, occasionally, there will be cases of a particular legal complexity, which will require the engagement of one of our solicitors. In these circumstances, the services of the Employment Law Unit will be at no additional cost to the member.
