Transport

Introduction

The objective of IBEC transport policy is to ensure appropriate transport systems are developed which support competitiveness, economic growth and an enhanced quality of life. We interact regularly with policy makers in government departments, state authorities, the European Commission and with regulators to communicate our position on the strategic transport policy issues of interest to business.

Transport policy is formulated through IBEC’s Transport Council. The Council, consisting exclusively of IBEC members, represents both the users and providers of travel and transport infrastructure. It is the national voice of business regarding all transport policy matters.
