The Audiovisual Federation is the principal trade association for the audiovisual industry in Ireland. Our core mission is to promote the common interests of the audiovisual sector as a whole as well as serving as a key resource to member companies by providing an organised forum for the exchange of ideas, sharing of resources and promotion of industry goals and influencing public policy.

26th September 2011: The Audiovisual Federation today launched its 2011 review of film and television production in Ireland. Kevin Moriarty, Chairman of the AF Database Steering Committee, said "2010 has been a record year for the Irish film and television industry, a sector that continues to make a significant contribution to the Irish economy. In competing for and attracting mobile investment to Ireland, the sector generated economic activity and made a contribution of €170.8 million to the exchequer" See Information Centre/Reports for further details. 15th June 2011: At the recent Council meeting of the IBEC Audiovisual Federation, the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland gave an update to members. A copy of this presentation is available in the General section of our Information Centre. 9th March 2011: The Audiovisual Federation has welcomed Jimmy Deenihan as the new Minister for Arts, Heritage and Gaeltacht Affairs. The Federation wishes Minister Deenihan every success in his new role and looks forward to working with him in the coming years. Government support for the sector such as funding for the Irish Film Board and the film taxation incentive Section 481, are critical measures for the ongoing development of the industry and should be retained by the new Government.
