Government funded training for apprentices and mentors
An IFS Apprenticeship is a two year, nationally accredited work-based programme designed to meet employers needs, tackle the skills shortages in entry level roles and specialist level roles. IFS Apprentices will gain a recognised professional qualification at levels 6 & 8 on the National Framework of Qualifications. INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL SERVICES PROGRAMMES: IFS Associate - Higher Certificate in International Financial Services (Level 6). IFS Specialist - Higher Diploma in Financial Services Analytics (Level 8)
WHO SHOULD APPLY? Career Starters / School Leavers (who have attained relevant Leaving Certificate results). Learners who participate on the programme will be at least 18 years of age. This minimun age requirement is in response to the selection policy of organisations in this sector. IFS Associate level apprentices will study for a Higher Certificate in International Financial Services and undertake a two year apprenticeship contract in an IFS organisation in a relevant role.
WHO SHOULD APPLY? Career changers/Career movers / Graduates of all disciplines (with relevant qualifications). The Higher Diploma in Financial Service Analytics is aimed at graduates of all disciplines. The objective of this IFS Specialist Apprenticeship is to provide an entry point to the International Financial Services sector for people with significant work experience and/or previous qualifications. The remuneration package on offer for the IFS Specialist Apprenticeship is in the range of €32K and a two year fixed term contract in a relevant role in an IFS organisation. This level of apprenticeship will open up the Financial Services sector to learners and employees who heretofore may not have considered a career in this sector.
