€100,00 awarded on grounds of discrimination and victimisation
26/08/2010 - In our July issue of HRlink we highlighted the two recent cases at the Equality Tribunal, where amounts of €20,000 and €16,000 were awarded, as a result of the failure to allow female employees return to work after maternity leave. In a more recent case in July 2010, €100,000 was awarded to an employee by the Equality Tribunal for discrimination on gender and family status grounds, and for victimisation.
