It is important to note that NERA inspections can inspect work permit supporting documentation to ensure that employees meet the specific conditions. Things that may be examined include offer letters, examples of experience and qualifications. These inspections can be carried out day or night and on the employer or their client's site.
Finally changes to the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Services finds that from January 1 2015 students can only work 40 hour weeks for the months of May, June, July and August and from 15 December to 15 January. At all other times, a maximum of 20 hours per week can be worked. They cannot work as taxi drivers or hold a taxi license or be self employed. Finally the new rules find that an individual can only be a student for a 7 year period.
